精东影业鈥檚 debating team has made an excellent start to the 2026 competition season with a strong win in their first debate of the year.
The team travelled to Immanuel College to debate the topic 鈥淏anksy is the DaVinci of his time鈥�. Our students argued the negative side and delivered a confident and well-prepared performance against the host school.
Speakers Sophie Ward, Zoe Lamerichs and Ameeran Ali presented clear arguments and strong rebuttals throughout the debate. Bonnie Melrose supported the team as timekeeper. The students responded well to the opposing team鈥檚 points and worked together to secure a comprehensive win.
Congratulations to Sophie Ward, who was recognised for her outstanding performance and awarded Speaker of the Night.
The team represented 精东影业 with pride and professionalism, making this a fantastic start to the competition season.
